General Information

Our Story:

The Kansas Mens Baseball Association (KMBA for short) was founded in 2018 with the idea of creating an affordable, competitive and fun league for all skill levels. Since our inception, the league has grown from just a few teams to the largest 18+ Mens league in the Kansas City area and one of the biggest leagues in the entire Midwest. We offer two different divisions: Semi Pro and Mens League (see below for division descriptions). Each division is designed to cater to all types of baseball players. If you love to play and compete but also like to have fun, THE KMBA IS THE PLACE FOR YOU!

Introducing the Federal League Division: To pay homage to the history of a league that existed from 1913-15 and competed as a third pro league along side the AL and NL.

League Cost:

As mentioned in our mission statement, the KMBA believes in playing for the love of the game and that’s why we have made this by far the most affordable league anywhere. The purpose of this league is to allow people who enjoy playing baseball a fun, competitive and affordable environment. The KMBA charges a league a fee of $50.00 per player for spring/ summer ball and $30.00 per player for fall ball.  For full teams looking to enter the league for spring/summer ball, the team fee is $600.00 or approximately $50.00 a player with a normal roster of 12 players.  For fall ball, the team fee is $360.00 or approximately $30.00 a player with a normal roster of 12 players. Expect approximately 20 games for spring/ summer ball and 10 games for fall ball.

Divisions:

Mens League Division: 18 years or older. Do you love the game and still have the competive spirit and appreciate ACTUAL baseball? Then this is the place for you! Whether you are playing just for fun or a little more serious, most skill levels can compete and all will have fun! A great way to relive the past while making new memories and friendships in a fun yet competitive atmosphere! Seasons are broken into two: Spring/ Summer and Fall ball. Games are played Sunday afternoons at Two Trails Park, Black Bob Park and Johnson County 3&2. The spring/ summer season is approximately 20 games and fall ball is approximately 10 games.

Semi Pro Division: 18 years or older. Regarded as the highest level 18 + adult league in the Kansas City Metro area and one of the highest in all of the Midwest. The competition in this division is comparable to that of minor league baseball or high level college. The semi pro division features numerous ex professional and many ex high level college ball players. The skill level would be comparable to many minor league teams. Games are played Sundays at Johnson County 3&2 and Two Trails park in front of large crowds in an exciting atmosphere. If you win this league, you have some serious bragging rights! Seasons are also broken into two: Spring/ Summer and Fall ball. The spring/ summer season is approximately 20 games and fall ball is approximately 10 games.

Federal League Division: 30 years or older. Are you itching to get back on the field after many years of downtime? The Federal League is designed for athletes who need want to rediscover their love of playing organized ball without fearing they can't keep up with high-level athletes. Teams in this league are comprised of players who range in age from 30 to 70. Pitching speeds top out at 60mph. Rules have been modified to ensure player safety is priority one and that teams are not full of young and overly-skilled players. The season is comprised of 15 games guaranteed , which are played each Sunday from mid-May through late-August at Johnson county 3&2.
